If you are like me, summer brings to mind great nights out on the lawn talking to friends.  Well instead of staring at each other in the dark, get yourself some great landscape lights to really brighten up the place.  Not only do landscape lights give you the light that you need in order to see, but it can really accent and bring to life the hard work that you do in your yard during the day time.  Case in point, I just re-did my garden in my back yard and added landscape lighting fixtures that were solar spot lights.  These little lights charge throughout the day, but they really brighten up the trees and rose bushes that i have in the back yard.  The other night, we had friends over and all they could talk about was how good the landscape lights looked back in the trees.

The truth is that more and more lights are solar these days, which not only lessens your carbon footprint, but it makes for easy use. The lights charge themselves during the day, and then give you great light at night.  If you want a good way to lighten up the yard without spending much money, these solar landscape lights are very affordable and are much cheaper than wired lights. You can also buy them by the amount of light that they produce. This is important to note as a darker area may need a much brighter light in order to get the yard lit up properly.  Solar lights call it lumins, but most of the solar yard lights will say that they are 2X’s brighter or even 10X brighter, which simply means that they have multiple LED lights inside of them.

If you really want to get your yard looking better then ever, stop wondering what to do and go to your local hardware store, or order online some cheap solar lights. You will find that installation is a breeze and that you will be able to get the look that you have always been wanting in your back or front yard. Most lights only cost a few dollars, so go to your local store and pick up a bunch for relatively cheap.  You’ll be glad you did.

Manty people add light fixtures to their yard or walkways to make them more presentable and to accentuate plant life.  Most of these people have beautiful decks as well that are unlit at night and are not properly lighted.  Decking lights are very classy and can make your outdoor deck come alive at night.  Of course you spend tons of time working on your yard and want people to experience it who come over, but the place that you sit to look over all your hard work is usually the deck. 

Decking lights is a great way to make your deck more safe and more functional.  There are several types of decking lights which include low voltage lighting, highpoint deck lighting, deck step lighting, and accent lights that can be installed on your deck.  Many people think these lights are not as easy as a yard light to install.  This is not true.  The setup is the same as you have a low voltage box that supplies the power to the lights.  You then run cables underneath the deck and just use a drill to install the light into the wood deck.  The process is super easy and most people find decking lights to be easier to install than your traditional yard lights.

Having lights on the deck can really be a nice thing.  Too often people install a huge flood light on the back of their house to light up everything.  This light can be blinding and takes away from the beauty of your yard lights and plants.  To keep the right mood, deck lights do not distract form the scenery around you, but add accentuation and safety to your deck.  If you have stairs, these types of lights are a ffantastic idea.  Nobody likes tripping in the dark or stubbing their toe.  Take a look at some pictures of different examples of deck lighting.
